I'm not talking about female circumcision. I'm talking about naturally. I've also heard that some women need to have surgery because their clitorises are too far buried in the hood. is this true?

If you don't have a clitoris at birth, then you must be a male. All clitoris are different in size...some are small while some may be really big as in hanging out big.

You can have orgasms whether your clitoris is big or small, and if you are not having orgasms, it's not because of the size of your clitoris.

Um, I really doubt that it's directly possible to 'break' the clitoris, but I'm sure you could bruise it or hurt it. Rough sex or masturbation, even exercise can cause pain to the clitoris. Just let it rest for a while, and it should feel better.

Your hearing about needing surgery to uncover a buried clitoris is correct. Having no clitoris would mean that that person has a birth defect. In general, the clitoris becomes somewhat engorged during arousal. It then shrinks a little prior to orgasm. It doesn't play "hid-and-seek" if you will.

Nobody has seemed to hit on it..There is a such a thing called a HOODED CLITORIS. Not altogether to common. But it is not that rare. The skin at the top of your vulva may completely or partially cover the clit. Minor surgery will repair it. If you have minimum sensation when touching it quite possibly it is hooded. A medical exam would turn up any problems. You should directly ask the question of your OBGYN.

I knew a woman once who had more of a clitoral area rather than a small "head". She could still have an orgasm though. Yes, surgery is possible to expose more of the clitoris. A doctor is needed in any case to check this out. P.S. Do you orgasm? Good luck.

the clitoris is a part of the female genitalia... if you don't have you should definitely see a doc about it. i've never heard of this surgery, but i suppose it is possible for someone to not have one becuase of a birth defect or something.
