Ive been playing guitar for 3-4 years and listening to Hendrix at least as long. I want to know some examples of his licks as well as how he molds them into his songs and somehow stays within the rhythm and key of the song. Also wondering how he does this in combination with lightning-quick scale runs and chord progressions all in the form of a song. After listening to your answers, I will spend forever practicing these. Thanks for your time and answers. Keep on jammin'.

Practice. That's the only way. Watch him. Listen to him. Revere him.

jimi hendrix found a guitar in the dump, fixed it up, and started teaching himself how to play. he just had natural talent, and a lot of it.

Honestly, I think he "sold his soul for rock and roll". Meddling with drugs, that can easily happen.
