A coat made of a dead animal's skin. Something like mink or ermine, I believe.
[I hate that song anyway. It is sounds like a whore begging from her pimp. I think it demeans men and women. On top of it, it insults the very spirit of Father Christmas!

A Sable is animal fur which was made into fur coats many years ago, especially when the record was originally released, it was the present of choice for the rich ladies in those days.
