I have a Kenmore self-cleaning oven, and I cannot open it. I was baking something, and pulled a lever that's supposed to be used for latching the door during a cleaning cycle. Now I can't open it!

Quit the cleaning cycle buy hitting off and then wait for it to cool down once it gets to a reasonable temp it will open but it has to cool down a little first.

Mine did that once. The temperature limit switch was bad. It was stuck in "the oven's still hot" mode. I didn't feel like messing with it so I called a repair man. Replaced temperature limit switch, works perfectly.

I had the same problem, I pushed the buttons for the hours for cleaning, the timer, and set the time to 00 hours and the door came unlocked.
