Any acoustic guitar is a good starter guitar. I bought a Harmony folk acoustic guitar. It came packaged. And it works fine.

Just about any guitar is a good "starter" guitar. The problem is, how long do you want it to be a "starter" guitar?

You will very quickly (probably within 3 months of lessons) discover that the instrument has some pretty serious shortcomings and will be holding you back from progressing.

So, you can buy this guitar and be happy for awhile until you replace it, then spend more money on your next guitar, or you can simply by a better grade of guitar to begin with and keep it for years instead of months.

I always suggest that you put 75 cents a day, every day, into a jar for one year. With that lousy 75 cents a day you can buy a nice guitar that will last you a long time.
