Most of my friends may say that they like bad asses (because most of them are fairly physically attractive), but when given the choice between a gorgeous delinquent and an 'average looking' guy who buys her flowers all the time, I have no doubt in my mind that all of them will pick choice number two.

Personally, I like nice guys. My current boyfriend does cute things to surprise me all the time and I love it. True, he's not incredibly attractive (not to say that he's ugly, he's quite good looking), but if you ask me, I like him that way. Since a lot of females I know are superficial, they tend to stay away from him, because "he's not pretty, so he's obviously not worthy." I don't really have to worry about other females hanging all over him, which is awesome. =)

I honestly don't see what the fascination is with bad asses. Perhaps the danger is a huge turn on. I would have no idea. I hate it when guys show off and act like bad asses to impress me, because it makes me think that they have nothing else to offer. It's like their compensating for something.

Oddly enough, my track record has shown that I'm attracted first to the nice guys and I always have been. Or at least, guys who look like nice guys. They're the ones I'd be comfortable with and I'd talk to right of the bat.

Although I will never deny that a bad-*** is always worth a second look, and a third, and a fourth. :) But usually that's how far it gets with me.

I was attracted to bad asses until I was 22, now I'm with a nice guy. But, do like the bad asses, military boys remind me of them. Don't know why.

My first boyfriends were "bas asses". I then met a really "nice" guy at work and we fell for each other. He was a few years younger than me and the complete opposite of my "typical type". He always treated me like a princess something I was not used to. We are together 6 years now with a 2 year old daughter and in the process of buying our own house. Although i truely believe the saying "treat them mean keep them keen" it is possible to meet the right guy who will treat you properly.

Ok so I am not a woman, but here goes:

I was talking to my wife about this and the conclusion we came up with was.....

"Women date bad boys, but stay with good guys."

I remember when I was dating in high school, and I wasn't a "bad boy" and the women wouldn't date me..... at first. Then when the bad boys were cheating on them and treating them badly, I was the shoulder to cry on. I was the friend that was there for them, and then I would become more than a friend. This isn't to say I was acting fake, I was just being me.

It is like men dating a stripper, for a while it is exciting, but when the reality hits, and it will, you go with the "good reliable" choice and dump the "bad" choice.

Umm, okay it depends. I like bad asses that act like a "bad ***" but will treat me with respect and love me. I guess I'd like the type that acts all though and uh... bad, and gets embarassed when they had to say stuff like "I love you" but will treat you as the most important thing. I also like "nice guys" but it'd be boring to have a guy that always says, "I love you" and always being nice to you. Besides, i dunt think guys like that exist... so, yeah. I prefer bad asses that are nice on the deep inside :D

For the same reason why men are attracted to "bad girls" in real life and the media. They're exciting while the fun lasts.
