Is it true that people's pets resemble their owner?

yes they do!! well the people cant resemble the pets..as the people were born first lol.

if u havent noticed..staffordshire bull terrier owners are alot of the time quite big, muscley men lol like my dog and dad :p.

No. But people often mimic cute things their pets do and pets often copy things they see their people do so they do start acting similar.

People also tend to buy pet they think are attractive in some way.

For example a man is attracted to a blond women with big brown eyes, he may come to think golden retrievers ( light colored fur and brown eyes) are good looking pet and sooner or later some will say ' hey that your dog and your girl look so much alike......

No. It is the owner who resembles the animal. The owner simply buys an animal who the person thinks he/she most relates to, whenever they mean to or not. Like me, I LOVE turtles, and I am an easygoing, passive person.

I think it is the other way around, but some do. I also think personalities match more than "looks". My Boxer is stubborn, easily distracted, loyal, intelligent and inventive. I think I am also many of those things. My cat is very similar, as are both of my horses. That I think is more telling than looks :)

For whatever reasons it seems to be true. I have a yellow Lab and everyone says we look a like (well at least same hair color) But he has my perosnality and he changes it to match mine.
