I remember seeing a movie on TV when I was three or four in 1992. It looked like a movie from the 80's Some bits of it I can kind of remember; 1) there was this mom who got mad at her 5? year old son because he wanted to eat his lunch watching TV like his dad, she wouldn't let him so he throws the bowl on the floor and to punish him she puts him in the shower because he is afraid of the shower and he starts crying
2) she gets mad at her husband for some reason when he isnt at home and she starts knocking over tables and furniture and yelling "HES TOO FAST" or "YOURE TOO FAST" it was something about him being too fast. so then she takes like a blue tarp off of a car in the driveway and thats all I can remember.
I've searched all over the net and its been buggin me cuz this movie like stayed with me my whole life and Ive never forgoten it. If anyone knows the movie please tell me.

this is a true story based on the actress Patty Duke, and her battle with mental illness. she suffers from bipolar disorder. it's based on the autobiography, "call me anna", which was also the name of the movie
