MySpace is a website where anyone can create a page and make friends. You don't say how old your daughter but if she is young, you should try to keep an eye on her. Here are more tips from them on how to be safe there.

MySpace is a social networking website offering an interactive, user-submitted network of friends, personal profiles, blogs, groups, photos, music, and videos. MySpace also features an internal search engine and an internal e-mail system.

this was taken from wikipedia. Your daughter is most likely protected, as long as se doesn't put things no there such as an address, or her phone number, email, or other personal information. You can also ask your daughter to look at the website, but try not to be too invasive. Good luck!

It is a social networking site. It is like a website that people put lots of information about themelves and pictures. If your daughter is pretty young, maybe under 16 years old, I would be cautious. You probably dont' want to be too domineering though.

There are stalkers and stuff on there, you should probably not ban her from using it because that often tends to make people more inclinded to do something. Just make sure that she knows no tot meet strangers and stuff liek that. You can also ask her to put her account on private so people that she doesn't know can't see her page.

You need to stop her MySpace right now. It's as bad as internet chat rooms. Heck, they practically are internet chat rooms. On ABC news, there was a segment on it about tis middle aged man, married with I think 5 kids, who was a child predator to several young boys. You need to stop it. People actually DO die from it. Men and even some women pretend to be kids, you daughter's age, and ask them to meet up to talk and stuff. Or kidnap them, and do awful things to them. It is NOT safe, and MySpace won't do anything at all if your daughter posts personal information like her first and last name, a picture of herself, adress, phone number, school or anything! You need to tell her about internet safety before something goes too far.

I hope this helps.
Merry Christmas!
Stay safe.

MySpace is a user-submitted network of friends, personal profiles, blogs, groups, photos, music, and videos. Also, there is alot of people who pretend to act like teenagers when they are really adults who are looking for teenage GIRLS to meet and do unappropriate things to them. So if you are going to let your daughter be on MySpace make sure u supervise her or tell her not go on some stuff because there is porn on it too.

It's a social networking site. As long as your daughter isn't going to meet people she meets on Myspace and isn't gullible and knows how to stay safe, there are no worries. Just tell her not to reveal too much information(i.e., full name, address, phone number, yada yada).
