Rape: sexually assualting someone even when they are against it and forceing them to do so. Like when they say NO or when you threaten them otherwise
taking advantage: having sex with a minor, someone who is not in the right mind, some one who has had a date rape drug, or someone who is mentally challenged. Basically taking advntage of some one who doesn;t know what they are doing, but still consents
taking advantage is often also considered rape. Having sex with a minor is both taking advantage of them and is also called statuary rape.
Both WRONG

Rape is generally taking advantage of someone by force rather than by deceptive manipulation. But there's no clear line between the definitions, even though various statutes try to make such a distinction. For example you can get someone drunk by over-mixing their drinks and thus clouding their judgment and ability to protest sexual advances. These advances are usually not prosecutable offenses but the method accomplishes the same purpose as putting a roofie in the drink - which is a prosecutable offense, especially when sexual contacts follow.
Yet even the roofie method can't really be considered as use of force. So then you get into the area of informed consent, where obviously there was none. But how drunk does one have to be before lack of informed consent kicks in? Or how naive, or innocent, or trusting, or subject to a great line, etc., etc.?
So the real difference is often a matter of judgment, with that judgment being based as much on guesswork and further deception from perpetrators, attorneys and yes, some alleged victims, as on the application of facts and logic.

Taking advantage of someone might be rape - she wasn't aware, knowledgeable of what happened to her - and if she was she would have said NO.... That is rape....
She or he is lonely or in need of attention, wanting attention - this person does something like sleep with someone for a one night stand.... If you meet someone likes this and provide what the person is thinking they want - this is taking advantage of someone that isn't rape..... not very nice but legal....

Rape is usually specifically a sexual act. Taking advantage of someone is a more general term. For instance "taking advantage of someone's good nature" etc.

In my opinion, not a lot of difference. Just depends on how far the 'taking advantage' goes. But any kind of sexual advance without consent is rape.

Rape is an aggressive act of violence and control. It has very little to do with sex and very much about the anger of the rapist and his hatred of women. Taking advantage of someone to me means that you "use" them for something because they're pretty easy going and good-natured. Whatever you want to call it....NO still means NO!

Rape means they told you they didn't want to have sex with you, but you did it anyway.
Taking advantage means you found a way to get them to agree to it, even when it's against their best interest to do so.

Both involve selfish actions. They differ only in degree but the intentions are the same. Rape often results in injury, mental torture, and is a crime.

RAPE IS FORCING SOMEONE TO HAVE SEXS WITH YOU OR SOMEONE FORCED YOU TO HAVE SEXS WITH THEM AND TAKING ADVANTAGES OF SOMEONE IS LIKE TO BE THIS PERSON LOVER JUST FOR FREE STUFF,FOOD,GIFTS,FLAME,MONEY, AND/OR ANYTHING ELSE THAT THAT PERSON OR THESE PEOPLE WANTS.
