Because of media coverage. If they really had to earn the respect and attention, they wouldn't be famous at all.

Even though she is not young or a model, I know Oprah Winfrey is my role model because she built a school for unfortunate kids in South Africa. Oprah gives great advice and when in hard struggles, In an inspiring book called Rachel's Tears, a girl at the Columbine school shootout died because of her faith in God. When the family had the news of Rachel being dead confirmed, Oprah raced right to their side and cried with them. Overall, Oprah Winfrey is my role model and if you disagree, that's not my fault that Oprah is a wonderful person and you can't see that in her. God bless you Oprah.

I hardly consider them role models...maybe Oprah but that's it! Anyone who looks up to, or idolizes these people really have some issues, and will continue to have them as long as they think the most important thing in life is being a size 0, having fake titts and a collection of designer purses with dogs to match.

Young celebrities are sometimes considered as role models because the very young minds are still being influenced by everything in life.

they aren't regarded to me as role models but I guess to others they might like them because of their looks, power, fame, or fortune.
