I need the name of a horror movie that was made in the 80's or before, I believe....its about a huge black goo/slime monster that comes out of the lake and engulfs people who come near it. This is all I remember about the movie, as I last saw it when I was a kid.

It was called "The Raft" - From Creepshow II
These 4 teens go upto a lake to swim in during october, when they swim out to the raft a black goo that resembles an oil slick surrounds the raft, 3 people get eaten alive..... the last guy maeks it ashore..... or does he??? LOL!!! Great movie!!
The other movie would be "The Blob" from 1953, redone in 1988. But I dont remember it ever coming out of a lake, but the blob does eat people..... either movie, but both are great!

The one in the 80s was a remake the original was from the fifty's the movie was called The Blob.

That sounds like a remake of The Blob. Was there a young guy called Donovan Leitch in it?
