He complains even if he hears a tiny sound. His dog urinates on the front lawn. I have a 3 year old son and he is under stress because he has to walk super softly. The neighbour is really foul mouthed too and drinks heavily. What can I do?

who does he complain too? if he comes knocking at your door to complain then simply tell him that he needs to understand that he lives in a downstairs apartment and there is going to be noise and that he needs to understand that you have a small child. if talking to him in a nice calm manner does not work, tell him that if he comes up stairs one more time to complain about something stupid you will contact the police for harassment and then the land lord.trust me if the police show up and he is drinking and using fowl language he will be the one they hall off to jail.for being a nuisance.

Live your life you are paying your rent. You shouldn't have to make a 3 y/o walk softly, how loud can he be? I wouldn't try to be over noisy but I wouldn't walk on eggshells for some asshole either.Have u reported him to the landlord, I guess they probably wouldn't care so long as they get the money.

bang on the floor with the handle of a broom.
when he comes up...don't answer the door.
but call the police =)
that's a quick way to sort things out.
