Superman is a nerd who works for a newspaper company, and he's a solid invincible flying hero (except for the kryptonite) with no interesting story to tell. On the other hand, Spiderman is almost realistic (except for the climbing and web-swinging, etc), and his character, Peter Parker, is kind of a geeky person you'll like looking at. Let's just say Spiderman's more charismatic in this era than Superman is.

Because there's absolutely no way to make Superman NOT look stupid. And because in Superman, you can tell that almost everything is digitally animated. Badly. Spiderman....eh, it's a little more subtle.

It depends on how you look at it. Even though both heroes look weird this is all about your own thoughts not anyone else's. Just remember that.
