Because kids are innocent and they enjoy looking forward to Santa coming down the chimney to bring them toys. What would Christmas be without all the kids smiling about Santa! Don't be such a GRINCH! Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year!

I think that the real reason that the whole Santa go's on is because the kids would just keep on asking questions about what thy got for Christmas if thy new there parents were the ones P.S. The kids would look for there presents around the house!

Because the story of Santa adds to the excitment,we as adults know the real story but deep down inside we want to believe, it makes it sort of magical.

Childhood is pretty much the only time in a person's life when things can be magical and happiness can be obtained. I know not all kids' lives are like that, unfortunately.

But why would you want to deprive a child of that? There will be enough disappointment in life as it is.

Because we recognize that a little magic in a child's life is a good thing.

It's kinda the same as letting them watch cartoons...those characters don't really exist, but it brings the children some simple enjoyment. Try to lighten up, and don't see it as a lie...it's more of a fable!

Were you the type of kid who unwound their Slinky?

Simply stated:

It brings joy to those who continue to perpetuate the worldwide "lie" and it brings joy to our children to believe it.

I'm thankful for Santa and the tooth fairy and the Easter Bunny....what fun memories I have of being the receiver of such and then the giver.

Do you really think that your life is worse because you believed in Santa? It's a great story and it allows people to believe there is good in the world.

Do you have kids. It's fun and it gives them something to look forward to. My parents did it to me and I don't hate them for it. If you choose not to go with the tradition for whatever reason, it doesn't mean that everyone should. It's completely up to you.

It gives kids something to believe in since the Tooth fairy is easily proven false.
