okay, there are earthquakes, but most you don't even feel really. And when you do, well hello- the San Andreas fault is there.... um, about pollution, there are some, but not everywhere. California isn't the only place that has some sort of pollution. As for the socialist people, is that bad? heck we state an opinion and yeah... the smog i do agree is bad but that's in the valley, not so bad in the bay area as some may think. I dunno, i like California... the only place i don't like is LA. The smog there is BAD. :/

The racist idiots moving into the area. I grew up in the Bay Area and always had a very mixed neighborhood. We had some of everyone and we all got along.

I've lived in California all of my life - Los Angeles area, Santa Barbara, San Diego, Oakland, San Francisco. Like everywhere there's good and bad, but to me, the good outweighs the bad here, especially since I live in San Francisco, which I love. The only bad thing about California I'd say is that it is expensive to live here - but as the trade-off, we have the beach, mountains, cultural diversity, and mild weather - that's all good to me!

Too many people and too much concrete. California was great until the rest of the nation/world moved in. Other places, like Oregon and Washington complain about the number of Californians moving in, but none of us would have left CA if the rest of the world hadn't crowded us out! (Obviously, I'm not a big fan of "progress"!)

The '89 earthquake in SF was a disaster. And the falling of the golden gate bridge when it was just being built. Then theres the poverty in SF. There's lots. But nothing that you wont see anywhere else.

Bay Area? Hm...it's crowded and expensive. And SF can be full of loonies sometimes. But then again, loonies are everywhere.

A lot of people don't realize that San Franciso is pretty cold most of the year. Even when it's sunny it can be cold.
