To be either or both will not necessarily get you an "A".
One would just need to pay attention in class, work on whatever subject to which you are undertaking, study & prepare classwork for the next day .. if you have any.
Ask parents, relatatives, friends, neighbors for help. And while in class ... Ask question on certain things that you might not quite understand.
Be involved in class studies. The more "minds envolved" will make for better understanding for all.

I never got that at school. Not even close. I was smart and nice... I just had a smart mouth.
