I need to learn some basics about how SQL works with databases; not enough to justify paying for a regular class. I want online so I can do it at work, as that's why I need it. I do not have access to SQL user manuals or help files.

Sams teach yourself SQL in 10 minutes is a good reference book, I would suggest reading half of that before getting started.

Why not just look for some tutorials on what you want to learn? Here, I found a SQL tutorial: http://www.w3schools.com/sql/default.asp
