Really not a good idea to run two firewall. Windows firewall is not really a fireall because this software only protects you against rogue ports with incoming data to your system. Does not protect your system against persoanal data leaving. A good firewall has to be two ways. Incoming/outgoing.

I at one time used Sytage. To my knowledge they have long gone out of bussiness. Althought you can still download the software. There is no updates or support. (I apologize if I am wrong, but quite sure they are out of business).

I use http://www.zonealarm download their free home for personal use version. You will get daily updates when needed an auto. updates of all new version that will at the same time remove the old version an install the new version.

I'd suggest you choose one or the other (preferably Sygate, it has more features than Windows XP's built-in firewall).

A firewall program adds additional overhead by scanning network traffic, which means your overall network speed may be slower with two such programs running simultaneously.

Yes you could... although there isn't really any point. This type of configuration will not give you any increase in security benefits. Just run one firewall that is properly configured, it's all you need.

No it's not recommended, just use one good one but not Windows firewall,it only stops one way traffic, turn it off in control panel-security center.
