As I understand it there was only one series of 12 episodes made. I had a problem with it as I worked for a guy who was like Basil Fawlty in fact I think John Cleese may have got the character from this man. Believe me that these people are not fun to work for. Occasionally funny but generally irritating and difficult

The second 6 were released in 1979
The low number of episodes comes from the fact that John Cleese and Connie Booth would take up to 6 weeks to work on the plot for an individual show.

Only 12 episodes. amazing cos it always seems like so many more. every one of them a classic because of John Cleese's exceptional acting and improvisational skills.
Dont mention the war. I mentioned it once but I think I got away with it.

They actually made 13 - BUT the BBC Lost one so only 12 now survive - I am sure the missing one will turn up in due course - I hope it does.
