Hey all

I know this is a bit of a naughty question but its only for fun, something im trying to learn and It will not be used to attack anyone in anyway....

I am using a neighbours unsecured Wireless connection, and i have been reading and using port scanners and was wondering if anyone could tell me if it is possible to see and access my neighbours C drive?...I have read quite alot so Just wondered im someone could roughly tell me step by step if its possible..

Can I access it using telnet in MS DOS command prompt?

Like I said this is just someting that intrigues me, and I wonder if it is indeed possible...

Thanks for any answers in Advance!

Just because you have access to a router or a wireless network does not mean you should join that network. Would you like someone to walk into your house and just open up your fridge to see what type food you had? then goes into your bathroom to see what type pf toilet paper you have! what you are doing is wrong and your invading your neighbors privacy. you also might find somehing you dont want to see. I suggest getting 2 computers and practicing that way. there are alot of ways to practice the legal way and not get into trouble. you can acually find website where they want you to hack there database....try doing that for fun.. just do a couple yahoo searches you would be suprised.

Just for your research sake, look up remote enabling of remote access.
You may be pleasantly surprised.
also if the network is unsecured then they probably haven't changed the default admin password on the router either, access to this will save you a great deal of time by giving you their ip address and computer name.
have fun.............

They would have to enable the sharing of their root drives. Now, if you wanted, you both could enable sharing and limit each other's access. You can put what your want shared in the "shared documents folder". However, if someone has sharing enable, I would hope they would enable encryption on the wireless as well.

You could only see their C drive if they had enabled filesharing and specifically shared it, which is rather unlikely. Before you could even do that though, you would need to figure out the name/ip address of their computer.

the only way to do that is to set up a network between both computers or if file sharing is enabled.

Sneak into their house, write down the Workgroup and what their computer's name is. Then right click on their C drive and make sure you turn on filesharing.
