Been invited on one and dont really wanna go cos i kinda dont beleive in them. Not a big drinker any way but i think the whole idea of the bride to be groping some strippers bum and giggling all girly while her hubby to be has some tarts boobs in his face is just wrong. I dont see why people bother

I don't really see the point either, people say it's a "last night of freedom", but I think that if they love someone and are serious enough to be getting married, then if they really are losing their freedom, it'll already be long gone. I'd like to think that in the right relationship you don't lose anything at all.

Basically, if you won't enjoy it, don't go. I don't enjoy clubbing etc so I never bother going out with my friends. I don't want to spoil their night by being "boring" and I enjoy their company much more when they're sober so that's when I see them. Don't be pushed around or guilted into doing something you're not comfortable with!

My wives hen night consisted of a few close personal friends, and my stag night consisted of some personal friends we both had a cracking time. if you want to avoid the extreme versions of hen/stag nights then only involve people you trust. we both had a great time and are happily married. you dont have to wear bunny ears and short skirts to have a good hen night. choose the venue carefully and invite only trusted friends and you will be fine.

My husband told me he went to a lap dance club on a stag do, and said most of the girls in there are undercover prostitutes, so how would you feel if you found out that the groom was that drunk that a lappy got happy with him. Yuk

Congratulations, you are a respectable person who stops to think about what all of these actions mean. I don't know why people think this kind of stuff is appropriate behavior? I don't care how harmless people think this is but things can get out of hand very easily. Why risk it? Stay home and enjoy the TV or a good book or maybe go shopping. Enjoy!

Go and have fun, people don't always go down the stripper route anyway, as long as you all get slaughtered and the bride crys for no reason it's a job well done.

To Each His/Her Own...if more people had this attitude we'd have less problems. And as a disclaimer I must say it's only for those who do things that don't impose upon others negatively.

If it doesn't bother their significant other, then you shouldn't be bothered about why people bother do such things.

You aren't the judge or jury, just don't go.

i could not agree with you more , why don 't they go out for a nice meal. I have seen some of those 'hen and stag' night's on tv and they are dreadful.

I don't agree with them either... but that's my personal feelings on the issue. If someone is SINGLE... why not? But if you're in a relationship you shouldn't be having naked people giving you lap dances or private shows. I think it's asking for trouble.

They can ruin a marriage before its began, me and my fiance are having a joint hen stag night because we share freinds and want them to be at both to celebrate.
