I'm going to my doctor's tomorrow for an appointment due to the spotting I had been having. I'm almost 7 weeks pregnant and Sunday night I had spotting, tuesday morning and last night all found a bit of spotting on the toilet tissue after I went pee.

Just wondering what he will do to find out where the bleeding is coming from at the appointment?

They will probably do a urine test to check for urinary tract infection (this is a very common source of bleeding during pregnancy). He will probably do a sterile speculum exam--like when you have a pap--to check the condition of your cervix. They may also do or order an ultrasound to check the position of the embryo and it's size and heartbeat.

I had the same trouble. I had to have blood drawn twice to check my levels and when they weren't what he wanted, I had an ultrasound. You may have a tranvaginal ultrasound to check on the baby's heartbeat and placenta. I had a subchorionic hemorrhage and was put on bedrest, but it did resolve itself. I'm now 15 weeks. Don't stress too much and try to take it easy until tomorrow.

i really don't know what he will do. he might just check you out and ask you a few questions. also spotting is very common during pregnancy as long as you don't have severe pain and bright blood (and would be more than spotting like a period). Good luck
