next weeks its my girlfriends 21 birthday and i have allready baught her some rubber gloves to do the washing up with and for when the drains are blocked she wont get her hands dirty cleaning them and a new apron for when she is cooking and a new mop and bucket to clean the floors with. my eternal dilemma is will it be enough or should i get her a scrubbing brush and maybe some bleach or even push the boat out and get her some mr muscle spray. yours chauvinisticly Barry Laziass

As it's her 21st you should really push the boat out - ironing board and iron - she'll love you forever

You could think about getting her Nigella Lawson's Domestic Goddess book and personalise it by marking certain pages with post it notes, upon which you've written where she goes wrong doing things....and highlight passages that you want her to do.
That'd be really helpful and I'm sure truly appreciated by her, especially on her 21st.

very funny - maybe you should name the boat after her.
I would also recommend staying away from sharp objects so no axes, ice picks, or shovels.
