False. You control the options, but give them the choice. It give them some sense of control over a small aspect of their existance. Its better a child gets to chose between A and B rather then Yes or No.

False. They should be given choices as they grow because life is made of making the right decisions, and it is never too early to start.

False. As others have already mentioned, you have to give children choices for any number of reasons: to help them learn how to become good decision makers, to help them feel empowered and like their opinions matter, etc. That being said, a parent, of course, has to put some reasonable limits on the choices, taking into consideration the child's age and developmental stage. For example, you don't just ask a three year old, "What do you want for dinner?" and cater to her every whim. Otherwise, your three year old is going to be eating ice cream for dinner. Instead you ask her, "Would you like broccoli or cauliflower for dinner?" thereby giving her a choice, but making sure both of the choices put in front of her are appropriate. However, by the time kids are teen-agers, you have to give them more latitude to make choices on their own. Obviously, you have to stop them from doing things that are illegal or dangerous ("No, Billy, you can't get drunk and go out driving with a loaded handgun in your car,"), but short of that, by the time they are teenagers, kids need to be learning how to make decisions for themselves, and it's only through suffering the consequences of bad decisions that they learn to make good ones!

If children are not given choices according to their age, they will never be able to make decisions which will make adulthood happy or productive in most cases.

FALSE.
My parents always made the choices for me when I was younger.
Now that I'm an adult, I find it extremely difficult to make decisions. If I do make a decision, I'm constantly questioning it.
Therefore, if a child learns how to make the right choices/decisions when he/she is young it will be easier for that person in life.
