I used to pierce. It really depends on your body chemistry. In the past when you have hurt yourself (scratched yourself, or fallen down when you were little) how well did the area heal? Can you still see a scar? If your answer is yes....then leaving your piercing in even for a little bit could cause a scar. There are some products out there that can help the situation however. Try using vitamin E oil that you should be able to find at any grocery store. If you can't by a bottle of Vitamin E gel capsules, break them open, and rub the oil in them directly on your scar. Otherwise....you can go with the traditional Neosporin. Hope this helps.

I had my eyebrow pierced about 8 years ago and kept it in for I would say about 3 months. I have a very very tiny scar, albeit it is a scar. I really don't think it matter whether I kept it in 3 months or 3 years I still would have ended up having a scar. But like I said you don't notice it unless I point it out. So good luck!

The woman I know wore it for about a year and it's been out for about 3 years and she still has two ugly scars.

Don't do it if you plan on not wearing it all the time. My cousin has a weird scar from hers.

it wont leave a scar if you have a good piercer.
i have one. and even if it does, it'll be a teeny tiny scar that hardly anyone will notice.

you shouldn't do it. it never looks right. it will leave a scar and you won't want that on your wedding day. it's not attractive.
