Who in the world would want more than one wife? I mean, twice the nagging, twice the bitchin', twice the pms.......? I think one is more than enough!

If you know your history and the amendments, you actually can in some states. however you have to be born into a religious congregation supporting that theory to make it legal. Some religions approve of it, but simply hide it, because of some of the states laws and guidelines to what "religion should be". However, if you think that you want to have several wives because your not satisfied with the one you have now or have intentions on getting married and want a little play involved, I think your out of luck and in the wrong country...

*grin* only if a woman can have four husbands! Most men have no clue how to keep ONE wife happy let alone more than one. And why make it legal, if a man wants to have more that one woman he's basicly a player right? No need to give a player a legal status.

Theoretically, yes, the law would just have to be passed by congress since the practice is forbidden under federal law. However this is extremely unlikely, especially since Utah was not allowed to become a state until they made this practice illegal.

What a stupid *ss question. If anything women need more than one husband since most all of them are useless. It would probably take 10 men to do 1 women's work.

Certainly it could be possible to allow polygamy. However I somehow doubt that this type of marriage will ever be allowed withing North America.
