wat curse?
in 1986 the world cup was held in Mexico for the sencond time.Mexico was in group B along with Paraguay, Belgium, and Iraq. Mexico first played Belgium and won 2-1. Then they tied 1-1 with Paraguay. Finally they beat Iraq 1-0. Mexico passed with 5 points and so did Paraguay with 4. Mexico then played Bulgaria in the round of 16. Mexico won 2-0. In the quarter finals they lost to west germany in penalties. So a better question is if they will make it past the quarter finals in 2010 and the answer to that is yes. With Hugo Sanchez as coach they are going to play like never before.
oh and Mexico does not suck(hattness and jeremias).

They definately will make it past that.. Hugo Sanchez, now coach of Mexico who was top scorer of Real Madrid and considered the best soccer player of all time in Mexico, has been saying for that past 4 years that he deserves to be coach of Mexico becasue nobody has been able to prove what Mexico is capable of. Hugo Sanchez proved that he a a great coach when he coached PUMAS who were about to go to 2nd division and made them Champions 2 times in a row. Also more players are in Europe than there ever was. Mexico has proved to be a tough team. Now that their clubs have been participating more in international tournaments including Copa Sudamerica, Copa Libertadores, World Club Championship. and this year mexican team Pachuca became the first Mexican team to win an international tournament (Copa Sudamericana). Also Mexico won the U-17 World Cup. By the time the next world cup comes the kids who wonn that cup will be old enough to play for Mexico and 2 of them are already in Europe. Giovanni Dos Santos-Barcelona, Carlos Vela-Salamanca (actually owned by Arsenal but cant play unitl 18)

well its going to be very hard but now the team of Mexico is going to try to put only Mexicans in the team and for the past World Cups we always have somebody who was born in some other country and plays with Mexico and that what hurts us in the round of 16 and we hope with young players that we gonna get well make us pass the round of 16 and go farther.

Probably not, the European and South American powerhouses are just too much for the North Americans to get past.
