The reason that the majority of people are ashamed of their naked bodies is that most people were raised to think that nakedness is wrong in some way. We were brought up to think that we should be modest and cover up our naked bodies. Alot of people are also asahmed of the way they appear when they are nude. Americans have idoloized being thin and if you don't fit into the mold of 5'10" and 100 lbs(for a woman) you may not feel that you are attractive enough to display you rnude body. But what people need to realize is that a person can be plus size and if they carry themselves a certain way and if they exude confindence most people can see past the exterior.

Not all of us are ashamed of nudity, but we respect the fact that others aren't quite ready to accept the same. We limit ourselves to places where it is appropriate like our homes, nude beaches or spas, the gym shower, etc.

Separating the line between sexuality and nudity, and breaking down the barrier solves a lot of problems with body image, infidelity, etc. We're all born naked - might as well be naked!
