I started doing this as a kid, and I still love it. I sometimes, when I'm relaxing or have nothing else to do, will lay on the floor under the Christmas tree, with my head right next to the trunk. It's almost magical, as you look up into the forest above you, the shining lights and pretty ornaments. It's almost like being in the Ewok village, or a miniature person on a model railroad. Your consciousness just seems to explore upward into the tree, letting your spirit, for a short time, revisit that feeling of security and warmth that was a constant when I was a kid.
I find it quite relaxing. How 'bout you?

Yeah, I have cats, too. But they're pretty relaxed, and I often tie a couple of Christmas ribbons and bows to their collar as if they're a gift, so that when they're under the tree we can joke that they're "the presents."

Yes, I love doing this! When I was a kid I use to sleep under the tree one night during the season. It was the only time we kept the lights on all night. I now do this with my kids. As soon as we had the tree decorated my son asked when could we sleep under the tree. It is so relaxing. I think many people here would benefit from the experience!

I used to when I was little. Since I'm an adult now, I like to have sex in front of the Christmas tree when the room is dark all except for the lights on the tree. If you haven't already, you need to try it.

Umm no i have never tried that, sounds interesting, on the other hand my cats love to lay under the Christmas tree, one even likes to climb up it.
