Absolute favorite animal would have to be the platypus.
It's the most unique animal that there is. It's the only mamal that lays eggs, the only animal with a bill that isn't a bird, they produce milk but have no nipples (it oozes out through glands in the skin), and the males have spikes on their hind feet that produce a venom strong enough to kill most smaller preditors, and make the larger ones seriously ill.

It is a tie between horses and dogs. But right now my real favorite is my year old yellow Labrador Retriever.
