I just got done playing X and it was pretty boring and lame. Talk about linear gameplay. VII was hands down the best. Too bad they dont make them like they used to.

VII wasnt linear because you actually got to choose where to go. X gives you no choice

after you get the airship your at the end of the game. And there isnt a world map that you explore. I think the game is bad. one of the worst in the series

I disagree slightly...although VII is my favorite, I wouldn't go so far as to say that X was boring and lame. And what are you talking about not getting to choose where to go? After you get the airship you can choose to go anywhere....the only difference is there isn't a world map on X. In order to advance the story you have to go to certain places in both games.

The PS One FF games are all good. I haven't played the Ps2 ones yet. The gameplay is as linear as you make it. There are some point s that are the story points but are also the sidequests and chochobo/cards games that make the game better.

There's a better chance with FFXII. Famitsu gave it a rarity: a perfect 40/40 score.

Forget FFX and FF7, I still play the first Final Fantasy for the NES. (Ultimate line up is the Fighter, then one of each color mage)

why FFVII is not linear?
It pretty much the same as FFX.
Lemme guess, FFVII is the first FF that you ever play, yes?
