because it was a political stunt, they knew they didn't have the numbers to Impeach Bush, and no Dem wanted to be on record as voting to Impeach a President over this war

Ri - News flash: Clinton was impeached. You don't have to be kicked out to be impeached. Look it up.

The answer to the question is the Dem are savvy in politics. They know that current elections are being fought between the 45 yard lines. The swing voters are making the decisions. An impeachment would swing they to the right. This is as it should be. There are too many kool aide drinkers on both sides just screaming and yelling. We need more people trying to find common ground.

Clinton was impeached for perjury. This is a fact. You may disagree with Bush's policy and scream he lied (like politicians don't do that, right?) but he has never lied under oath.

Because while Bush is a screw up and totally out of his element.... nothing he has done is an impeachable offense. The Democrats would have made a bigger boondoggle out of it that the Reps did chasing Clinton, and would have come up with less. The man is an idiot...but an idiot savant. He has positioned himself in some gray areas without stepping totally out of bounds (legally).

That's not exactly what happened, that's the Rush Limbaugh version. Basically the democrats didn't want to play the republicans stupid game. Now that many of the republican idiots have been fired by the people for their incompetence and corrutpion, you better believe that no republican would ever dare do somethig like that next year.

Waxman and Conyers aren't through with the idea. If the evidence is put on the record, then maybe Pelosi will change her mind, as is her privilege to do so.

actual the Democrats acted in a bipartisan way and voted on costs depending on the benefit of the invoice. it is what participants of Congress are meant to do, instead of voting as a bloc for basically partisan applications.

Because they saw what fools the republicans made of themselves when they tried to impeach Clinton...I got this from one of the senators I emailed. He said that there is too much to do without separating a country on impeachment.

Because there have been no crimes committed to warrant an impeachment.

because they don't want to bog down the next 2 years with negativity and BS (he's guilty, but the dems are choosing a higher road).
They have voting control now over anything other than a veto and will try for 2 years of bipartisan solutions
that's my take on it and my hope
