I have found that MAC cosmetics are the most consistent in quality. Their pigments (color intensity) are soooo much better than what you would get in a drug store. You also will pay a bit more, but I have found that it is worth it. NARS is also a reputable line of cosmetics.

I switch brands based on the effect I want to achieve.

Max Factor was designed for use in the movie industry, so their products (particularly cake makeup) have good coverage and an even texture.

Clinique, Mary Kay and Lancome are good for sensitive skin and have nice, classic colors.

L'Oreal and Revlon are fun for a bolder look, although they can be a bit harsh and don't always blend as evenly.

I like makeup from MAC and Urban Decay...they are both a little pricey, but they are great and have fun products with awesome packaging. For drugstore-brands, I like Maybelline and Rimmel-mainly because they are cheap and reliable.

It depends on what you're looking for. I personally swear by MAC but there is one thing that MAC makes that isn't as good as some other brands, and that's mascara. So I use Benefit's Bad Gal Lash instead

I personally use MAC. If you're into a lot of cool colors, check out Urban Decay, their eyeshadow is great. Both are a bit pricey but the colors last and they are great products.

Mary Kay! Everything they make is very well tested and perfected for your skin type. MK makes a great oil free intense moisturizer that won't make you break out, and their acne treatment gel is a miracle worker on pimples!

I personally prefer MAC even though it can be a bit pricey. It seems to last forever and holds up throughout the day.
