I work for a housing association & for the most part I love my job. I get to give help and advice to people who are at risk of homelessness, and also find homes for people who are homeless. There are a few things I don't like so much, like chasing people p for rent arrears and that kind of thing. I know it's ridiculously cheesy bt I really do feel like I make a difference to people's lives in my job!!

I do not really qualify for this answer as I am retired but Oh! how I loved my job! I was a croupier and was known as the Queen of Blackjack, it was like going out socially every night and I was getting paid for it!!!! I loved every moment of it, it was exhilarating, exciting, mysterious enchanting. I can not find enough words to describe it!!!

I also believe that as your working life is is a good percentage of your life enjoy your job or find one that you would enjoy even if it means a decrease in wages. Life is too short to waste it in a miserable environment. BE HAPPY.

I make home visits and teach nutrition to people who are homebound. I like the flexibility of making my own schedule and not being stuck in an office all day, getting to know the patients individually by seeing them over and over and knowing I am providing education to help them improve their health.
I dislike driving so many miles every day in heavy traffic. I also dislike all the rules and regulations related to paperwork and documentation, it takes away from patient care time.

I am the Coordinator of client services for a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Service Agency. I am Deaf myself.
What I like:
--having the opportunity to make a difference
--educating the hearing about the Deaf and their culture
--empowering the Deaf to be independent
--my boss is THE BEST!

What I don't like:
--the "office managerial" stuff (I used to be Office Manager, that job is still open, so I still have to do that).
--people thinking they are above the law ("I don't have to follow the ADA laws")
--how hearing educators limit Deaf kids.
