My friend is backpacking across Egypt and needs a suitable head scarf - you know the ones with the fringing? Any idea what they are called and where I can get one in London? Thanks for answering x

the headscarf would be a hijab and you can buy them from edgware road, whitechapel, southall, ealing broadway, shepard's bush. Edgware rds your best bet.

just use a scarf like any women covering her hair wears.. You know, those you see in hollywood, covering her new DO from the wind.. get a large square material. cotton, or silk, or any material she likes. fold it into a triangle and put over your head and tie at the front neck... You dont have to get fancy here.. also once she gets to egypt, she might want to visit local sooks (market places) and buy some pretty scarves from the locals.. there are hundreds of different varieties and ways to wear scarves nowadays..
