You need an attorney licsenced to practice in the state that you are bringing your claim in. (The laws vary from state to state, sometimes you can bring a claim where you live, but most states require that you bring the claim in the state where the matter occured.)
There is likely a lawyer in the state where you live that is liscenced to practice in the other state. Call your local legal society and they can assist you or at least point you in the right direction in finding an attorney.

this will depend on if the atty has a license to practice Law in that state. sometimes it's all so Good to get a Lawyer that is familiar with the states way of doing things and may be more connect to heart of the issues .

You can use an attorney from any where you want. Make sure he knows applicable laws for the jurisdiction that the judgment will take place in.
