Planning to see it, but according to a lot of people that read the book, it is nothing like the book. And I can tell why from the sheer fact that it is only an hour and thirty-nine minutes long (based on a book like that, I expected it could easily cover almost three hours) and it is rated PG (again, if you stuck with the book, probably PG-13).

I'd say that if you just need a movie to watch, go ahead. At least, to me, the entire thing just seems to be a ripoff of other movies (Star Wars, LOTR, etc), but it was still okay.

Oh, good lord, it was horrible. I read the books, and they were horrible, then I saw the movie, and it was he@#. But this is just my opinion.
