I have good but also vague memories of a french cartoon that I watched in my childhood around the 1980's. It had a science fiction setting and I belive the main characters traveled in a space ship. I can also remember some cat like figures of some sort. It had a very catchy title track with a female singer. I belive the title had the word "Solei" in it and that the sun was an important part of it all. If anyone knows what cartoon I'm talking about I'd appreciate to know. Thank you :)

I've figured it out on my own. In french it's called: Les mondes engloutis.

English title: Spartakus and the Sun Beneath the Sea

I think it might be "Les Mysterieuse Cites D'or" (the mysterious cities of gold) it had an Inca theme to it and the opening credit is very catchy..i think it was an anime...

If its the same one I'm thinking of its TIMEMASTERS about a group of people travelling across space to rescue a little kid who was the only survivor of a space ship crash. It was, of course dubbed in to English and one of the actors who did the voices was RAY BROOKS (Mr Benn & Eastenders)
