The only thing about the school is that most of the people in school are friends with my mom and I just think things would get out.

You can go to your school counselor. Because you are 18, they really can't tell your parents.

Well going to your school counselor sounds like a good place to start. But the what kind of counseling do you need? or what do you need help with? There are many different types of counseling and therapy. Sometimes you don't need to see a counselor at all but need to get connected with a mentor that has gotten through the same struggles as you.

Talk to your school counselor. But sicne you will need your parents insurance to get a more typical physician most likely, best thing to do is to talk to your parents about going. Dont be ashamed in seeking therapy as many normal people do.

Have you tried your high school guidance counselor?

Therapists cost money, so unless you are able to pay for it yourself, it will be hard. If you run it through insurance, your parents will know because they will receive a bill.

I would not hide this from your parents. You don't have to tell them why you are going...I'm 30 and I had all kinds of problems with my Mom..and I'm here to tell you no one love you like your parents and if you hide things from them it can only make it worse...

You can keep some things in life private, but you really should keep your Parents in the loop...

If you are still in HS, see your guidance counselor. She or he can talk with you and refer you to the right person. There is probably a school psychologist you can talk to in school, for free. Good luck!

Your school should have a therapist or counselor that specializes in helping students such as you. Check with him and it should be confidential so no one will know.

Those people are usually liberals, they don't have a lot sense, their own lives are usually in just as big of mess as those of their clients and they're not going to help you.
