jerome iginla is mullato. a non derogitory term used to desribe the ancestory of people born to parents that have different coloured skin. ie black and white, black and thai (tigger woods) japanesse and indian ect. check this web site out, its very very cool. there are many famous actors, actresses, athletes and high profile people that are mullato. i was blown away with the number of celeberties. especially jimmi hendrix and lenny kravits.

It's interesting to see how people describe a person.
To me, Mr. Iginla is a hockey player. But too many people will call him a "black" hockey player. Why don't they refer to Michael Jordan as a "black" basketball player or Jerry Rice as a "black" football player?
It doesn't make sense to me unless I include the fact that racism is still a powerful factor in todays society. The irony is that it is as powerful as people want it to be.
Try describing someones appearance to another person without using skin color or heritage and you will see how ingrained the habit is.
