I would love to get a "greatest hits" album by the Rolling Stones, except I'm not sure what to get. The Rolling Stones' song library is massive, and I'm afraid that I might get a "best-of" album that would omit some good songs. What is the best way to do this?

I agree. 40 Licks is a pretty good one, but of course not every great Stones song is included.

I have a boxed set of hits from their early days but doesn't include many of their later later hits. Certainly there must be another boxed set being prepared for the future. You could also join their fanclub and perhaps they would be able to help you out a bit better. But in order to get everything that they've recorded you'd probably be best to download of Limewire or some other place that allows you to download them. Myself I like to buy the actual CD's as you get a lot more info and are not ripping off the artists.

Write a list of all songs you like & simply compare them to some of the Rolling Stone's "Best of" CDs.

If one has 8 or more of the songs that you really like, then buy it. If not, then you might have to settle for buying 2 of their 'best of' CDs.

I would suggest you take the songs you think are just the absolute bestest, and burn them on a cd. Or you can buy the songs, track by track after listening to them online. An example of a site that you could do that is Rhapsody. Hope that helps.

Hot Rocks was a good one. Or you could just download a bunch of songs and make your own.
