Wireless USB Network Adapter

what you need is a usb network adapterthis usb device fits in any usb port and will pick up a signal from any wireless router
when buying these though you have to take a few things into consideration
there are several different types of series of adapters,802.11b and 802.11g,the later being the most common
also the speeds are 56mbps and 112mbps,obviously the later being better
you can pick these devices up for less than £20 from many p.c shops, and retailers like argos(http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ArgosBrowseIterator?storeId=10001&jspStoreDir=argos&identifier=8161776&languageId=-1&Trail=C%24cip%3D41921%3EC%24cip%3D41962%3EC%24cip%3D41972&catalogId=10001&langId=-1&currPage=2)and pc.world(http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/store/pcw_page.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@0802857590.1166741061@@@@&BV_EngineID=ccefaddjjjkddiicflgceggdhhmdgnf.0&page=ProductList&category_oid=-28363&fm=13&sm=1&tm=2&show_all=true)
when you buy one simply insert the driver disc into the dvd-rom and install the device driver and when prompted insert the usb network device into a spare usb port
the device software will have a interface that will ask for your w.e.p or w.p.a encryption key and then you can link your device up to your router
you can normally find your w.e.p/w.p.a key somewhere on the router, normally the back
this key ensures that no-one else can use your bandwidth and your network is safe from intruders,if you can choose 128 bit encryption over 64 bit as its harder to crack
good luck

It's called a wireless USB adaptor. It's merely a network interface card that connects via usb to your computer and via wireless to the router. It bridges them together, so that they can talk to each-other.

It's that simple.

Look at D-link, Canyon, Asus, Linksys, Belkin, etc. as manufacturers of such devices.

All the best
