They are over populating a world that is already having issues with the current numbers of people.

If they have the financial resources and the time to raise these kids, then it's fine. However, most of these people raise their children in poverty and do not have enough time to not be negligent parents.
One of the scientists in my department has at least 1/2 a dozen kids, but he makes a lot of money and his wife stays at home with the kids. This would be an ideal situation, but I don't think it's the norm.
People who have children an cannot take care of them are selfish, irresponsible, and immoral. There are enough children in the world, and we don't need any more neglected malnourished ones growing up and not being able to function in society!

I think that if they have the money to support all the children and raise them to be health, productive adults then there is no problem...but there is a HUGE difference between 7 and 12 kids, just to clarify that...i think 7 is still within the bounds of reason...
Personally, I am the product of a blended family. I am the oldest of 4 (biologically) but my parents got divorced, and I have 2 more step-siblings from my father's remarriage, and 7 more step-siblings from my mother's. So, depending on which side of the family I am with, I am either the oldest of 6 or the oldest of 11...in either case, we are all healthy and loving, and we are thrilled that we all ended up in such a wacky situation, as it clearly all turned out for the best!

I think if you want than many children, and can fully support and care for them, than why not? I grew up in a family of 16 children, we always had everything we needed, and most of what we wanted. The only reason it would be immoral or irresponsible is if the parents are not providing adequately for their children.

I stopped at one. People always ask why did I only have one . . . . . . Cause it HURT!
And besides the guy was an *** and I wasn't about to do that to myself or any other child twice.
Guess it's OK for people who just love kids, are well to do, and are the Brady Bunch, or Mari Osmond. But for the life of me I can't fathom the objection to abortion then the objection to state funding. Look, for the men, if they were giving birth they would change their perspective.

If the family can afford them why not? I come from a family of 15 and we didnt have it all but we always had a roof over out heads and food and clothing. And no we were never on welfare. We all worked and helped out. Nothing immoral about it. My parents were married 50 years and took good care of us.

I think there are always exceptions to the rule and some people just excel and have amazingly coordinated large families. However, as a general rule, I feel that people fail to remember that you can't dedicate yourself to more than one thing at 100%, so each thing you add that requires attention takes a percentage away from the rest.

I agree, unless they can properly afford to care for them, educate them, and have the time to give each child the attention that it needs. With most families needing two incomes to survive, this isn't very feasible in today's world. Then, someone else ends up picking up the tab......

My view of people who are married that have this many kids, with a healthy lifestyle (and there are many who do) are blessed of God, for his word says, "Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward." However if they are not married and are sitting at home using their children to collect welfare checks, then I think that you're absolutely right.

How can it be immoral and irresponsible. Please state why you believe this to be so.
I believe that children are blessing from God. I have 2, one on the way and hope to have at least one or two more.
