The co-sign is accually getting the loan for the other person so thier credit must beable to do it on their own. Be careful though! If they do not make the payments you have to because the loan is against your credit not thiers!!!

Why are you having the person co-sign to begin with? Is it because your credit isn't good enough?

If so, make sure they realize they are liable for the loan just as much as you are. And their credit would likely need to be 680+.

Be careful with loans.

DON'T DO IT!!!

DON'T CO-SIGN ANOTHER PERSON'S LOAN!

You will be back in six months talking about how that heifer/bastard screwed your credit up.

Co-signing a loan is a lose-lose proposition.

Don't get burned to learn the moral of the story.

Don't burden your friend in this manner.
This can quickly turn the two of you from best friends to worst enemies.

If your friend were asking if he should cosign, most would give a resounding NO as the answer.
