There are many different ways to measure "poor", but the easiest one is with GDP per person. That's the amount of money that the country as a whole makes per year, per person. Here are the lowest four:

We do have 2nd world. They are countries who are in development whereas 3rd world aren't developed or developing and 1st world are developed.
