A.I. without question. Thomas was a dirty little coward of a player who just happened to be surrounded by a cohesive team. A.I. never had those kinds of players around him. The only thing Thomas was great at was starting fights. I'd still like to see someone kick his @$$. Isiah doesn't belong in the hall of fame either.

Isiah Thomas was the better player. A.I. is a great scorer, but Isiah didn't have to be, because his teams were far better then A.I.'s, but he was a far superior defender then A.I. and I think that gives him the edge. Isiah played in age of a big man dominated league (Moses Malone, Charles Barkley, Patrick Ewing, David Robinson, Hakeem the Dream, Kevin McHale, Larry Bird, James Worthy, and many other Hall of Famers.) In comparison, I would say that it would truley be unfair to judge A.I. compared to Isiah, because Isiah has done so much more in his career. People will remember Isiah for his championships a lot longer, then they will remember A.I. and his two scoring titles (just being honest.) Here's a question, can you remember who won the scoring title in 1989....me neither. Hope this answer helps.

Thomas was the better player. He has the Championship jewelry to prove it.
Who has better stats? Iverson.
But there is one stat that isn't easily kept - Defense.
A.I. doesn't play defense. He's a guard for a fast-paced Run-N-Gun offense. Which is why Denver is going to be very tough to beat now.
But the better player? Thomas. He made his teammates better.
(Before you think I'm biased, I must say that A.I. is one of my favorite players, but truth is truth).
Side Note - Isiah is a horrible coach.

Allen Iverson. He had no help for ages and still was able create for his mediocre teammates and lead the Sixers to an NBA final.
Isiah had help and good talent around him.
( Dumars, Rodman, Laimbeer, etc... )
