Oh leather, I love the smell in a western store but it can pick up those musty odors. Leather is very hard to work with. The best thing is set the couch outside for a couple of days and let it air out.

You can wipe it down with saddle soap and add some baking soda to the water but it probably won't help the smell much. I'm afraid time is your best bet. Time and sunshine.

Leather does not naturally harbour smells and anything that is lingering is usually in the inner parts, cushions, lining etc. so if you give these a good clean you will probably remove the smell

Leather should be cleaned with good waterbased products.

PS. Furniture polish is one of the worst things to use as it will break down the finish on the leather and seal up the surface which will dry it out.

puppy shops carry great smell and stain removers yet make certain you get one with enzymatics in it. attempt it on an no longer important spot till now utilising someplace important. If those cleaners do no longer paintings you will attempt odo-ban that's offered at Sam's or Lysol focus (that's what you come across in the small brown bottle) in case you employ the Lysol focus dilute one capful to three million/2 gal of water. warning that they final 2 concepts would no longer smell friendly the two yet they do get rid of the smell of cat urine. i'd attempt the enzymatic stain and smell removers first.
