Yes, It is the Processor and Hard Drive that matters. That is like really fast! That is really cheap to! I mean cheap as break to easily. Try using Toshiba. They use the best equipment on the market today. But it is more expensive. My friend bought a new dell and it broke down a month later. my sister has a dell and when you open it cracks and creeks. she dropped it on the floor 1 foot away from the couch and the screen started blinking, bright, low, dark, out of place. so choose wisely

It's not terrible, but you can get a better system for that money. Try finding a laptop with the newer Core 2 Duo. It's a major chip revision to the older Core Duo chips. That's the only suggestion I'd have to make it a better deal, but don't get me wrong. That's not a bad price. It's just the chip that's a little skimpy compared to what you "could" get.

Excellent computer but too expensive. I just bought a Dell Inspiron E1405 for $799.99 and is much better, with an Intel Core 2 Duo.
If you want to see it, the E-Value Code is 6F915-DNPCFY1.
This computer is much better and mch cheaper. It's small to.

Dell just came out with new laptops. You can go to Dell and check them out. The new Dell XPS is better than the Inspiron. Although, I am sure that any PC with 1 GB of memory is pretty good.

Yes this is a good product. This is actually an average price. This is worth it though. But if want it cheaper I suggest HP or gateway because they have lower prices.

you can buy toshiba duo core 1.8ghz for less price, memory would be 512 instead of 1024 which is still OK.
i would not recommend DELL.

Yes, that is a very nice laptop. I don't see anything about the video card though, if you are a gamer make sure you get a good one.

You didn't mention if you looked at it with MS Office or what version of XP. But with XP home and without office, its only $789 with the specs you mentioned.
