Hi everyone!

i recently stained all the wooden things in my living room dark burgundy.
i wood like to do the same for the wooden figurines inside my aquarium.
how can i do this without having the water poisoned?

You will have to finish them with a marine varnish - preferably one with an acrylic base.

However, do a test first. Stain a sample, leave it in some extra aquarium water for a while and have it tested to see if any toxins leached out.

My best advice is to leave everything as it is. Why take a chance on killing your fish? Some times everything "matchy-matchy" in a room is too much.

you would have to seal it with a marine grade sealer, but i would test it in water to see if it does anything to it, you dont want to poision the fish
